留学生でクレジットカードを作ることは可能なのでしょうか？作ったことある方、または情報をお持ちの方教えて下さい！

アメリカに銀行口座があれば、預金額を担保としてのクレジットカード作成は可能です。カード作成の目的、用途によっても違ってくると思いますが、アメリカ滞在が２〜３年であれば、作成できたとしても限度額が限られますし、長期滞在の予定がないのであれば、日本のクレジットカードを利用した方が良いように思います。逆にこちらで就職するなど、長期滞在の予定があれば、早い目に作成された方が、将来的にクレジットスコアに有利になります。

運転免許試験（実技）を控え、友人に車を貸してもらえることになりました。
「試験の際に保険も確認する」とありますが、友人の車を試験の時のみ使用する場合は、保険はどうしたらいいのでしょうか？

その友人の車両保険証を見せられるようにしておけばよいのです。車両保険なしで車を運転してはいけないのですが、保険料が高いということで払わない人が多いのですよ。友人がもし保険に入ってなかったらすぐに加入してもらうか、他の人から借りるなどしないとまずいです。

現在、賃貸の一軒家に住んでいます。ある日、ガレージに設置してある洗濯機&乾燥機の電源ケーブルがつながっていた延長コードがパチッと火花を散らし、故障してしまいました。その際に、ブレーカーも落ちてしまったようで、そのせいで洗濯機が動かないと気付かず、洗濯機が故障したかと思い不動産屋に連絡し、修理に来ていただいたハンディマンが、洗濯機と乾燥機を直接壁のコンセントにつなぎ、ブレーカーを上げ、洗濯機＆乾燥機が動かせるようになりました。
ところが、それ直後から、洗濯機の脱水時にものすごい音が出るようになりました。ハンディマンが洗濯機を動かしていたのが原因かと思い、洗濯機は機能するが、将来壊れるかもしれないよと不動産屋さんに連絡しました。（恐らくスピンしている槽が周りにぶつかっていた。）
その後、うるさい状態が１か月ぐらい続いたのですが、ある日突然静かになりました。しかしながら、騒音が止まった代わりに、今度は（洗濯機の具体的にどこからか分からないのですが）、脱水時にじわっと水漏れをするようになりました。ガレージの床に広がり、最終的に溝に流れ込んでいます。
この状況を、不動産屋さんに伝えたところ、不動産屋さんがハンディマンに連絡し得た回答は、「下からの水漏れは買い替えのサイン」ということでした。そして、不動産屋さんからは、「元々洗濯機、乾燥機、冷蔵庫などはオーナーの好意で設置されたもので、故障した場合は、借り手が購入設置する必要がある。また、新しくした家電等はそのまま置いていかなければならない。」と言われました。修理に来てくれる気配が無いと感じた私は、「言い分はわかったので、もう少し調べてみる」と回答し、現在に至ります。
しかし、よくよく考えて見ると、大きな音が出ていた時にハンディマンが来てくれて騒音に対応してくれれば、直ったのではないかと思うのです。（ハンディマンが洗濯機をズリズリ動かしていたのは確認していますし、その直後から騒音は発生したのですから、この動作が洗濯機に悪影響を及ぼしたとしか思えないのです。）。私としては、適切に事態を報告していたのではないかと私自身は思っているので、なぜ、私がこんな大きな出費をいきなり全額負担しなければならないのかというところに疑問を感じています。不動産屋さんは中華系なのですが、このような場合、どう対応するのがベストでしょうか。やっぱり自腹を切る必要ありますか？皆さんの意見を参考にさせてください。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

まずリースに家の設備が故障した場合について書かれた文章があるか探してみてください。もし不動産がいったような内容が書かれてある場合は、それを了承してリースにサインをしたということで払う必要があるでしょう。でもそういった文言がない場合は、洗濯機が備品としてあるという条件で賃貸したので、それが故障したなら大家が修理するか新しいものにして使える状態にすべきと主張すればよいのでは。

自営業や不動産などがある場合は自分ではとても無理があるので、H and R などに頼みましょう。 Form W2だけならForm1040EZを使えば簡単です。恐がらずにチャレンジしてみてはどうでしょうか。意外と簡単ですよ。
