Choya Umeshu K.K. was founded in Japan in 1914 as a manufacturer of wine.
In 1959, in an insatiable quest for "something that can only be made in Japan and compete in the world," Choya focused on "ume" and started ume-shu production.
Since then, we have continued to lead the industry as a pioneer in the plum wine market for over 100 years.

Choya Umeshu USA was established in 1998 to promote the taste of Umeshu to the world.
We work hard every day to make Americans aware of the existence of Umeshu and to make our company synonymous with Umeshu, as in "UMESHU ＝ CHOYA.
Now that our Umeshu is available for purchase throughout the U.S., we actively participate in events such as the
OC Japan Fair in order to have people actually drink our Umeshu and hear the reactions and feedback from our customers.

We are currently looking for a part time or full time administrative staff.
Specific duties include responding to inquiries in English, communicating with vendors
preparing documents for importing plum wine made in Japan, and preparing logistics documents for wholesalers.
You will be required to prepare documents, so those who can pay attention to numbers and other details are welcome.
You will also provide sales support as a sales clerk, so those with experience in sales administration are welcome to apply.

In addition to this, we are also looking for full time sales staff at the same time.
In addition to additional sales to existing customers, we would like to be able to develop new markets.
If you have experience in sales, please feel free to contact us. If you have experience in sales dealing with food and beverages,
we believe you will be an immediate asset.

Both of these positions require a lot of communication in English, so those who are confident in their English skills are welcome.
Sales staff especially use English, so those who are not confident in Japanese, such as second-generation Japanese-Americans, are also fine.

In Japan, Choya's plum wine is so popular that it is common to see a bottle of Choya's plum wine in the refrigerator.
However, many Americans have told us that our plum wine is "delicious ！" when they take a sip, and we believe that plum wine still has potential and room for growth.
In order to achieve this, we would like to incorporate new ideas, concepts, and approaches from everyone who submits their ideas.
Let's continue to spread "Choya's Umeshu" to the world with flexible thinking and actions, not being bound by conventional ways of doing things.
