| Job Description | Position Overview The Development Director will play a critical role in securing the funding necessary to support UPI’s mission. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies and requires a candidate with extensive fundraising experience, strategic thinking, and a strong passion for promoting world peace. The position reports directly to the Managing Director of the U.S. office and is based in San Jose, with remote work possible. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement multi-year fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals • Create and manage annual fundraising plans and targets • Cultivate and secure funding from diverse sources, including foundations, major donors, corporate sponsors, grants, and crowdfunding campaigns Qualifications • 10+ years of proven fundraising experience with measurable results • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Willingness and ability to travel internationally • Strong understanding of international affairs and global issues |
