In an age where you can learn to do just about anything by watching YouTube,
but “I want to learn the basics thoroughly ！”
—for those of you who feel this way, we’re holding a trial lesson ＆ and an information session for our sewing classes.
“I’m interested in sewing, but I can’t seem to take that first step.”
“I’ve been teaching myself to sew, but I want my finished pieces to look even better.”
“I want to find a hobby I can stick with long-term or make friends who share my interests”
For people like this, we’ll guide you carefully, starting from the basics.

SAIKA is a small-group ・ Japanese-language sewing class held in the Bay Area.
This event is a trial lesson and ＆ information session for those interested in joining our newly launched Wednesday afternoon class.

During the trial lesson, you’ll use a sewing machine to make a small accessory that you can take home.
At the information session, let’s explore your creative possibilities by looking at samples of the kinds of clothes we’ll actually be making.

In our sewing classes, we prioritize “everyday clothes” over special projects.
Using ready-to-wear clothing as a guide, you’ll gradually build your skills while learning about comfort, ・ fit, and ・ sewing techniques.

Buying ready-to-wear clothes is easy, but
we can promise that after a few years of steady learning, you’ll achieve a future you never imagined.

Even if you’re new to sewing, please feel at ease.
You don’t need any tools to get started.
Please feel free to stop by just to get a feel for the atmosphere.
